Barbara Junker and her husband, Peter, have lived in Glenayre for over 25 years, where they have raised their two children and served as long-term members of the Glenayre Community Association.
“My husband and I moved to Port Moody to raise our children. We chose it for the school system, recreation facilities, arts, mature neighbourhoods, and small-town feel. Our children played at the Port Moody Soccer Club for many years. As a family we spent many days at White Pine Beach, Buntzen Lake, Rocky Point and swimming at Westhill pool.
“I have watched Port Moody grow these past 25 years and as a Councillor will ensure that we protect the heritage and small town feel of our community. We are fortunate to have some of the most beautiful park lands, which we need to protect and preserve.” – Barbara Junker
